What we collect
Nothing leaves your device. The medications you add, the schedules you set, your dose history and your doctor appointments are all stored locally on your phone using Android's app storage. We do not operate a server that receives, stores or processes this information.
We do not collect names, email addresses, location, advertising IDs, or analytics on what medications you take.
Doctor appointment tracking
You can save upcoming doctor visits in DoseMate so the app can remind you ahead of time. The appointment title, date, time and any notes you add are stored only on your device. DoseMate does not contact your doctor, your clinic, or anyone else on your behalf, and it does not sync this information to any server.
Alarms, notifications & background behavior
DoseMate uses Android's exact alarm and notification systems so pill reminders and appointment reminders fire at the right minute, sound until you confirm, and survive a device restart. These permissions are used only to power your reminders — never for tracking.

INTERNET
Reserved for optional features like sending diagnostic crash reports. DoseMate does not upload your medication data.
RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED
Re-arms your scheduled pill alarms and appointment reminders after your phone restarts so nothing slips through.
POST_NOTIFICATIONS
Shows reminder notifications when it's time to take a medication or when a doctor appointment is coming up.
SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM / USE_EXACT_ALARM
Fires alarms at the exact minute your medication or appointment reminder is due — even when the device is idle.
WAKE_LOCK
Wakes the screen and keeps the alarm sounding until you confirm the dose.
Sharing & third parties
We do not sell, rent or share your data. Because your data lives on your device, there is nothing for us to share.
Your control
You can remove any medication, clear your history, delete saved doctor appointments, or uninstall the app at any time. Uninstalling DoseMate removes all of its locally-stored data from your device.
Children's privacy
DoseMate is intended for adults managing their own or a family member's medications. We do not knowingly collect data from children — and as noted above, we don't collect personal data at all.
Changes to this policy
If we ever change how DoseMate handles data, we will update this page and bump the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will also be highlighted in the app's release notes.
